One often-overlooked measure of how well windows and doors perform in commercial buildings is their ability to manage moisture. Teutonic® Series products provide condensation resistance by:
- Using high performance insulating glass units with special coatings
- Using a high performance spacer system within the glass unit
- Using a thermally-efficient framing material – uPVC – rather than a highly conductive metal framing system such as aluminum
The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) created the Condensation Resistance Factor to facilitate comparison of windows and doors as determined by how well they resist water build-up. Condensation resistance is scored on a scale from 0 to 100, with higher numbers indicating a greater resistance to water build-up. Teutonic Series products offer architects and designers the ability to specify windows and doors that are commercial-grade, yet offer excellent condensation resistance that is unmatched by traditional aluminum systems.
